The Indian Society of Systems for Science and Engineering (ISSE) is a professional body for interdisciplinary collaboration of systems science and engineering. ISSE is unique among the systems oriented institutions having the objective of bringing together scholars and practitioners from academic, business and R&D organizations for promoting the systems concept. The society was started in 2010 at Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), with its Headquarters at Thiruvananthapuram and was formally registered under the Travancore Cochin Literary Scientific and charitable societies registration act -1995.
The Primary objectives of this Society are
1. To advance the study of Systems for Science and Engineering and related subjects and promote their applications, particularly with reference to Science and Technology relevant to the needs of the country.
2. To disseminate knowledge pertaining to theory and applications of Science and Engineering of Systems by running Libraries, holding Conferences at appropriate intervals and the like.
3. To encourage meritorious work for Systems in Science and Engineering by according suitable recognitions to individuals and Societies
4. To provide financial assistance to institutions / bodies for the purpose of promoting the cause of Science and Technology.
5. To publish journal reporting results of original research in Systems for Science and Engineering.
6. To seek suitable interaction with other societies an association in the field of science and engineering.
7. All income of the society shall be utilize towards the promotion of aims and objects of the society.
INDIAN SPACE RESEARCH ORGANISATION (ISRO)
Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is the space agency of India. The organisation is involved in Science, Engineering & Technology to harvest the benefits of outer space for India & mankind. ISRO is a major constituent of the Department of Space (DOS), Govt. of India. The department executes the Indian Space Programme primarily through various Centres within ISRO.
DEFENCE RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT ORGANISATION (DRDO)
DRDO is the R&D wing of Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India, with a vision to empower India with cutting edge Defence technologies and a mission to achieve self-reliance in critical defence technologies and systems, while equipping our armed forces with state-of-the-art weapon systems and equipment in accordance with requirements laid down by the three Services.
Hyderabad has emerged as a significant hub for the Information Technology, Bio-medical, Pharmaceuticals, Fab Industry, Aerospace and Defence industries in India. This is driven by the presence of key research and development organizations, manufacturing facilities, and a growing ecosystem of private sector companies. The city is home to major research institutions in these Science and Technology research areas as well as industry partners involved in manufacturing these advanced systems bolstering the technological leap in the country by providing necessary R&D support to the industries.
ISSE Hyderabad Chapter was formed in 2018 and as on date, the society has a strong membership of more than 350 members from various fields of expertise. This chapter with its multi-disciplinary facet, focusses primarily on synergizing Govt. R&D industries, Academia and Private industry partners and playing a vital role in advancing and supporting development of critical systems and technologies. ISSE Hyderabad Chapter is also focussing on facilitating knowledge sharing, providing networking opportunities, advocating for the interests of their members for mutual development which in turn shall lead to the development of state-of-art systems as required by the country. ISSE Hyderabad Chapter is also focussing on setting standards, offering continuing education by organising Workshops and Conferences, so that Professionals from Industry can share their advanced research outcomes, SME / Start-up Industries can showcase their innovative technologies & products pertaining to the specific fields.
Hyderabad Chapter is managed by Governing Council of members, who actively participate in the day-to-day activities of the society and carry out a detailed perspective plan for continuous development of the societal activities.
